Doubles Wins Highlight Setback to Fresno State

Air Force men's tennis (4-7, 0-2 MW) dropped a 6-1 match at Fresno State (12-2, 1-0 MW) Friday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center in Fresno, Calif.

Air Force won the doubles point with a pair of wins in doubles. Sean McKendree and Justin Waldman won at No. 3 over Henrique Osori and Zdenek Derkas 6-1. Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma won at No. 2 over Angus Bradshaw and Alkesandr Myagkov 6-1. Paul Hendrix and Jamie Bautista fell at No. 1 to Dario Huber and Reece Falck 7-6.

In singles, Hendrix fell at No. 1 to Derkas 6-0, 2-6, 6-3. Waldman fell at No. 2 to Huber 7-5, 6-3.

Robert Baylon dropped his No. 3 match to Bradshaw 6-1, 6-2. McKendree fell at No. 4 to Myagkov 6-4, 7-6.

Nick Vroman fell at No. 5 to Alexey Aleschev 6-1, 6-0. Azuma fell at No. 6 to Falck 6-2, 6-2.

Air Force returns to action Friday, April 2 against Montana State in Pocatello, Idaho.
