IMPACTING THE RECORD BOOKS
Women's freshman standout Corbyn Cormack set a new school record in the 100 butterfly, registering a 53.57 at the Phil Hansel Invitational. She also posted the second-fastest time in program history in the 200 IM, registering a 1:59.40, also at the Phil Hansel.
Men's Falcon senior Adam Grimm had a career-performance at the Art Adamson invite, posting a school record in the 400 IM with a 3:48.50. Junior standout Wen Zhang leads the squad in first-place finishes so far this season.
UP NEXT
The men's and women's swim teams travel to Provo, Utah, to take on Brigham Young in dual-meet action, Friday and Saturday (Jan. 14-15). Action is slated for 5 p.m. MT and 11 a.m., respectively, in Richards Building Pool.
OVER THE BREAK
The women's swim & dive team came up short in a Mountain West dual meet against hosting San Diego State, 108.00-91.00, Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 21) at the Aztec Aquaplex. The Falcons saw victories in three events with 14 individual top-three finishes.
The men's team has not competed since the Art Adamson Invitational, November 17-19.
COVID POLICY
Current Department of Defense and Air Force Academy policies require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask when indoors in all Academy facilities, elevators and restrooms. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must also wear masks outdoors at all times while on the installation. Fans who are fully vaccinated and are not required to wear a mask when outdoors. Anyone with a COVID-19 diagnosis within the previous 10 days, or any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19, or a recent close contact with an individual known to be positive for COVID-19 should not come to the stadium. These policies will be constantly evaluated and any changes will be communicated.
