Falcons split with West Virginia/UTEP

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team, ranked second in the nation, split a pair of dual meets against No. 2 West Virginia and No. 19 UTEP, Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Academy's Cadet Rifle Range. West Virginia won the meet with an aggregate score of 4714, Air Force was second at 4682 and UTEP was third at 4563.
Air Force's Morgan Kreb was second overall in aggregate score at 1178. Sophomore Lauren Hurley was sixth at 1174 and senior Jordan Williams was eighth at 1171. Kreb was second in smallbore with a 588. Hurley was fifth in smallbore at 593. In air rifle, Hurley was the top Falcon in seventh place at 593.
The Falcons were without junior Peninah D'Souza and sophomore Scott Rockett who are currently competing at the ISSF World Championships in Cairo, Egypt.
The same teams will complete the weekend on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 9 am MT at the Cadet Rifle Range.
