
Brad Roberts named MW Offensive Player of the Week for third time

Senior fullback also earns National Football Foundation honors
Air Force senior fullback Brad Roberts was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week today for his performance in Air Force's 42-7 win at UNLV Oct. 15. The award is his third this season and fourth of his career. The senior fullback also earned National Football Foundation, Colorado Chapter, player of the week honors for the second time this season for his efforts.
Roberts rushed for 144 yards on 29 carries and scored a career-high four touchdowns. His four touchdowns tie as the sixth most in program history and are the most since Arion Worthman had five vs. UNLV in 2017. The four touchdowns are the most in program history by a fullback. Roberts had 14 carries for first downs or touchdowns, which is the most in program history since tracking the stat. He recorded 11 straight carries for 75 yards and a touchdown, recording every carry on the opening drive of the second half.
Roberts recorded his school-record 15th career 100-yard game, including his sixth in seven games this season. He leads the Mountain West in 100-yard games and has two more than any other player this season.
Air Force is 5-2 this season, including a 2-2 mark in the conference. The Falcons host Boise State Saturday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. MT in Falcon Stadium.
