Air Force comes up short in loss to Boise State

BOISE, Idaho- The Falcons saw the Broncos net the first goal of the match in the 5th minute and spent the remainder of the match chasing Boise State, dropping Thursday's match 2-0.
"Forty percent of goals scored at the highest level come off of set pieces," said head coach Laura Busby. "Credit to Boise State for finishing their set piece opportunities today."
Air Force was fated to defend for much of the match, as the Broncos posted 19 total shots to just six for the Falcons. Caeli Sherman led the Falcons with three total shots while Jessie Boult and Grace Sublette registered Air Force's two shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Sydney Davis saved five of the seven shots on goal she faced.
"We will take a hard look at our preparation as a staff and make sure we are dialed in on both sides of the ball against Utah State," Busby said.
Next, Air Force travels to Logan face the Aggies on Sunday, October 9. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm MT.
