WHO'S GOING WHERE
The Falcons are sending Tucker Owens, Cody Phippen, Nick Krug, Garrett Kuchan, Dylan Martinez, Garrett Bowers, Colton Woods, Giano Petrucelli, Jack Ganos, Sam Wolf, Noah Blake, Andrew Wenzel, Cal Sund, Cole Forrester, No. 6 Wyatt Hendrickson to the Mountaineer invite.
Nick Gonzalez, Quinn Melofchik, Joe Fernau, Brenden Barnes, Ryker Johnechek, Bryce Shelton, Reagan Lefevre, Gabe Hawthorne, Robert Woodcock, Seamus Casey, Gage Musser, Garrett Henigin, Anthony Hinson, Drake Buchanan, and Matt Kaplan will be competing at the Cowboy Open.

FloWrestling will provide coverage for both the Mountaineer Invite and Cowboy Open via the FloArena platform.
THE MOUNTAINEER INVITE
Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. and will continue into the afternoon. Weigh-ins are scheduled for 7 a.m. that day, with doors opening to fans at 8 a.m. Live scoring will be available through FloArena.
There will be Invitational and Open brackets for the 10 weight classes. Wrestlers from App State, Stanford, Virginia, Air Force, Edinboro, Gardner-Webb, Ohio and Kent State are slated to compete.
The Mountaineer Invitational will have full wrestlebacks this year, a new feature for 2022.
THE COWBOY OPEN
This year's Cowboy Open will be hosted in War Memorial Field House with action slated to begin at 9 a.m. The open will feature competitors from all levels with athletes from Utah Valley, Air Force, Northern Colorado, and Oregon State all set to compete. Division two stand out and No.11 ranked Colorado School of Mines is also set to compete on Saturday as well as Chadron State and NJCAA powerhouse Western Wyoming.
The Cowboy Open is set to kick off at 9 a.m. MT with a live stats and live video available on FloArena and FloWrestling.
NEXT UP
The Falcons split the team for the second-consecutive week as one contingency travels to Annapolis, Maryland for the Navy Classic and the other travels to Kearney, Nebraska, for the Younes Hospitality Open. Action is slated for Saturday, November 19.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Falcons appeared in two team tournament rankings, checking in at No. 27 on WrestleStat and No. 33 in WIN Magazine. Individually, Falcon junior heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson remained amongst the best in the nation over the off-season, ranking No. 6 in both WrestleStat and WIN.
LAST WEEK
On Saturday, Air Force managed to kick-off its 2022-23 campaign in solid style, defeating Western Colorado 29-18 at Clune Arena. Junior Noah Blake and team captain Sam Wolf led the pack with a pin and a technical fall, respectively. Cody Phippen, Garrett Kuchan and Giano Petrucelli rounded out the bonus points with a major decision apiece.
On Sunday, Air Force concluded the Colorado-Mines Rookie Open with four champions and 14 finishes in the top five, Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Tucker Owens claimed the title at 125, posting two falls with a pair of decisions en route to the title. Teammate Nick Gonzalez took second with a 4-3 decision loss to Owens in the finals.
The Falcons claimed the top three spots in the 133 division. Freshman Brenden Barnes claimed the title with a 4-2 SV-1 win over second-place teammate Joe Fernau. Fernau recorded a fall and two major decisions en route to the championship match. Logan Attisano finished third via technical fall, 16-0. Attisano had two tech falls and a major decision on the day.
Seamus Casey claimed the third title for AF in the 165 class. Casey posted two falls and a technical fall en route to his 6-0 win for the championship. Teammate Ty Ryan finished third in the division with a pin in the third-place bout.
Drake Buchanan was the lone Falcon in the 184 division where he took the title by fall in the third period. He was 4-0 on the event with a pair of falls and a pair of decision wins.
