Brad Roberts singled out by Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week

Air Force senior fullback was singled out this week by the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week award for his performance against New Mexico in Air Force's 35-3 win over the Lobos. Roberts rushed for 163 yards and surpassed the 3,000-yard mark for his career. The full Doak Walker release follows.
Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 178 yards on 36 carries and three touchdowns in a 31-3 win over Northwestern. His 18th straight 100-yard game earned him the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week honor for games of the weekend of Nov. 12.
Ibrahim, a 5-10, 210-pound senior from Baltimore, Md., scored on a one-yard touchdown run on the first play of the fourth quarter to give the Gophers a 24-3, his nation-leading 18th rushing touchdown of the season, tying the school record set by Gary Russell in 2005. He now has six multiple-touchdown games – tied for the national lead – with two regular-season games remaining.
The workhorse is the seventh player in Big Ten history with 50 career rushing touchdowns. In nine games this season, Ibrahim has rushed 238 times for 1,261 yards (5th-most in FBS) and is currently is the Gophers' second all-time career rushing leader. His nine 100-yard games this season is a single-season school record.

The Doak Walker Award presented by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum has been awarded to the nation's top running back since 1990. For the first time, the award is recognizing a national running back of the week this season. A select 20-person committee from the award's full voting body of media and past winners chooses the weekly recipient. On July 20, a preseason candidates list was released and semifinalists for the award will be named on Nov. 22. A week later, the three finalists will be announced.
The 2022 Doak Walker Award winner will be unveiled live on The Home Depot College Football Awards, televised by ESPN on Dec. 8. The annual banquet, where the winner and the recipient of the 2022 PwC Doak Walker Legends Award will be honored, will take place in February on the SMU campus.
The Doak Walker Award is a member of the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA), which encompasses college football's most prestigious awards. The NCFAA's 25 awards have honored more than 800 recipients since 1935.

- Trey Benson, Florida State: Benson ran for a career-high 163 yards on 18 carries as Florida State dominated Syracuse on the road, 38-3. the sophomore has topped his previous career-highs in each of his last three games. Behind his lead, the Seminoles ran for 230 yards, their fifth straight game breaking the 200-yard mark.
- Eric Gray, Oklahoma: Gray ran for a game-high 211 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns, but Oklahoma fell on a last-second field goal at West Virginia. The 211 yards are Gray's best mark at Oklahoma – his career high of 246 yards came against Vanderbilt when he played at Tennessee in 2019 – and he topped the 1,000-yard mark (now 1,113 yards) for the first time in his career. The two touchdowns also marked his fourth multi-touchdown game of the season.
- Brad Roberts, Air Force: Roberts ran for 163 yards on 29 carries and moved into fourth place on Air Force's all-time rushing yards list in the 35-3 win over New Mexico. It was the second-best mark of his season (174 vs. Colorado) and his eighth 100-yard day, one more will tie the school record.
