Air Force completes first day in College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas- Air Force took part in the initial competition at the Art Adamson Invitational on the campus of Texas A&M on Wednesday, as the Falcons raced in events such as the 200Y Freestyle Relay, 500Y Freestyle, 200Y IM, 50Y Freestyle, 400Y Medley Relay.
The Falcons began the afternoon with the 200Y Freestyle Relay, as the team of Wen Zhang, Joseph Moore, Grant Afman, and John Plutt placed 10th with a time of 1:20.23.
Zhang also placed seventh in the 500Y Freestyle, clocking in at 4:24.78. Jack VanValkenburg also raced to a time of 4:33.74. In the 200Y IM, James Winterfield was the Falcons top placer, finishing with a time of 1:52.00.
Following the 400Y Medley Relay, the Falcons team of Zhang, Gabriel Bartolomei, Tory Bartlett, and Andrew Armbruster placed 12th with a time of 3:15.24.
Day Two at the Art Adamson Invitational will resume with preliminary action at 8:30 am MT before the final rounds pick back up at 4:30 pm MT. The heat sheet for tomorrow, as it pertains to Air Force, is as follows:
