
Ella Tschuor Named Academic All-District

Tschuor is the eighth Air Force Volleyball player to earn academic all-district honors.
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force sophomore Ella Tschuor received Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) this morning (Nov. 22), as the organization announced their award winners for all three NCAA divisions, as well as the NAIA.
Tschuor, a native of Littleton, Colo., and biology major with a 3.58 GPA, averaged 1.76 kills and 0.64 blocks per set on the year, while helping the Falcons to a 15-15 regular season record. The sophomore recorded a career-high 12 kills on .688 hitting (12-1-16) during the Falcons' victory over Boise State in mid-November, while recording a personal-best six blocks in the win over Brown during an all-tournament team performance at the start of the season. A Mountain West Scholar-Athlete, Tschuor hit at a .210 clip during conference contests this year, with a 1.86 kills per set average.
The 2022 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom. To be considered as an all-district athlete, the athlete much have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve for their team. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot and those will be announced in late December.
