Air Force to face conference foes New Mexico, Colorado State

The Falcons venture back into Mountain West competition this weekend, as Air Force travels to the campus of the University of New Mexico to battle both the Lobos and the Colorado State Rams beginning Friday, December 2 and ending Saturday, December 3. Both events are scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm MT.
Series History against Opponents
-In Air Force's most recent meeting against Colorado State, the Falcons were defeated 157.5-142.5 at the Cadet Natatorium a season ago.
-However, the Falcons took down the Rams twice during the 2020-21 season by scores of 177-123 and 164-131.
-The Falcons have not dualed the Lobos since December 1, 2018, losing by a score of 211-87.
Last Time Out (at Phill Hansel Invitational)
-In the 500Y Freestyle, Katelyn Andrist's preliminary time of 4:52.06 becomes the third-fastest time in the event in program history. She eventually finished seventh in the final round, clocking in at 5:00.06.
-Zoe Bresnahan also cracked Air Force's all-time top-ten in the event, as she now sits in ninth in the 500Y Freestyle following a time of 4:56.65 in the preliminary round.
-Abby Turner placed third in the 50Y Free, as her time of 23.18 becomes the fourth-fastest finish in program history.
-Hanani Dona placed 21st in the 200Y IM, though the freshman now owns a share of the ninth-best event time after finishing her second race in 2:04.72.
-Abby Turner's time of 1:49.03 in the 200Y Freestyle rewarded her with a second place finish. Turner concluded the race with the third-fastest time in the 200Y Freestyle in Air Force history.
-Turner also competed in the 200Y Medley and 800Y Freestyle relays, helping her team to second and third place finishes in said events, respectively.
-Corbyn Cormack also swam as part of the 200Y Medley Relay and produced her own individual merit in the 100Y Butterfly. Cormack finished second with a time of 54.35.
-Air Force managed to earn a win in the platform dive, as Gabrielle Peltier scored a 251.60 to place first overall the event.
-In the 1650Y Freestyle, Katelyn Andrist swam with conviction, placing third in the event with a time of 16:39.54. Andrist's performance earned her the third-fastest time in the event in program history.
-Zoe Bresnahan maintained her standout status with a fifth-place finish in the race, touching out at 16:39.54. Her finish is now the fifth-fastest 1650Y Freestyle time in program history.
-Both Corinne Yorkman and Kai-Min Tsuei qualified for the championship round in the 200Y Backstroke. Yorkman placed fifth, completing the race in 2:00.30, while Tsuei placed eighth after clocking in at 2:01.93.
-Abby Turner continues to make waves in the pool, as she added a third-place in the 100Y Freestyle to punctuate to her remarkable weekend. The sophomore ended her swim with a time of 50.59.
-Hanani Dona again penned her name into the Air Force record book as the result of her 10th place finish in the 200Y Butterfly. Dona's finish of 2:01.98 is now the fourth-best time in the event in program history.
Peltier earns Mountain West Diver of the Week (November 22)
-Gabrielle Peltier was vital in Air Force's second-place finish at the Phill Hansel Invitational, leading to her being awarded Mountain West Diver of the Week. Took first on the platform dive with a winning score of 251.60, while also scoring a 293.3 in the three-meter dive, finishing fifth. The senior also placed seventh in the one-meter dive with a score of 249.5

Following the weekend in Albuquerque, Air Force will have an extended break over the holidays, returning to competition on Friday, January 6 when the Falcons travel to Hawaii for dual action against the Rainbow Warriors as well as the TCU Horned Frogs.
