Park earns point for Falcons in match against Wichita State

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Freshman Christopher Park, who earned a win on Friday, earned a point against Wichita State in the final round of the Wyoming Desert Match Play, Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
Wichita State won the match, 5-0-1. Park earned the Falcons only point by tying WSU's Tate Herrenbruck. Park was down four strokes on the first five holes, but battled back to tie the match after winning No. 12 and No. 14. Sophomores Sawyer Pierce and Aaron Kuznik both went deep into the match, before falling to the Shockers. Pierce was tied after the front nine, before falling four and three. Kuznik was down one at the turn, but also fell four and three.
Air Force travels to Goodyear, Ariz., for the annual Loyola Intercollegiate, Feb. 20-22.
