Golfers to compete in Loyola Intercollegiate, Feb. 20-22

THIS WEEK: The Air Force golf team will compete in the Loyola Intercollegiate, Feb. 20-22, at the Palm Valley Golf Club – Palms Course, in Goodyear, Ariz. The teams will play 18 holes each day beginning with a shotgun start at 7:45 am MT each day. Live stats will be available on www.golfstat.com.

THE FIELD: Air Force will be joined by Bucknell, Creighton, Delaware, DePaul, Drake, Gonzaga, Hartford, Holy Cross, Loyola Maryland, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, Seton Hall, SIU-Edwardsville, South Dakota, UT-Martin and Utah Valley.

LAST TIME: Air Force last competed in the Loyola Intercollegiate on Feb. 24, 2020. Drake won the tournament with an 849 (-15) at the Palm Valley Course in Goodyear, Ariz. Air Force placed eighth with an 861 (-3). The Falcons shot a 283 (-5) on the final day. Joseph Crisostomo and Josh Wu each shot 69 on the final day.

THE LINEUP: Air Force's lineup for the Loyola Intercollegiate will be: 1. Christopher Park; 2. Aaron Kuznik; 3. Cameron Kahle; 4. Sawyer Pierce; 5. Max Heupel.

LAST WEEK: Air Force competed in the inaugural Wyoming Desert Match Play, Feb. 11-12, at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. During the three-round event, Air Force dropped matches to San Francisco, Denver and Wichita State. Freshman Christopher Park earned a win against USF and a tie against Wichita State. Sophomore Sawyer Pierce earned a tie against Denver.

NEXT UP: After the Loyola Intercollegiate, the Falcons will compete in the Bandon Dunes Collegiate, hosted by the University of Idaho, March 6-8, in Bandon, Ore.
