
Air Force Wraps Up Second Day of MW Championships with a Podium Finish

COLLEGE STATION - Air Force concluded the second day of Mountain West Championship action, Thursday afternoon at the Rec Center in College Station. The day of action was highlighted by a podium finish from freshman standout, Corbyn Cormack.
The Falcons kicked off the evening session with good news—solid performances from Curi Von Schlag and Grace Treanor earned Air Force divers two spots in the Consolation Finals. Von Schlag dove to 14th place and Teanor earned 15th.
Finals started with another strong round of 500s for Air Force. Katie Kucik swam a nearly identical time to her morning race but moved up a spot to finish 23rd. In a sprint-to-the-finish B final, Lauren Arnold (4:54.11) and Corrine Yorkman (4:55.90) earned 12th and 14th in the conference. Their times place them fourth and fifth on the Air Force Top Ten, respectively.
In the 200IM, Maeve Rosko scored points for Air Force with a 24th place finish. Corbyn Cormack's 2:00.42 turned the spotlight on Air Force—she sped to a superb second place finish. Abby Turner won the 50 Free C final with a 23.37, placing 17th. Her time also moves her to 6th on the Air Force Top Ten list. Sefilina Maile added to the score with a 22nd place finish.
Air Force closed out the night with an 8th place in the 400 Medley Relay and goes into Friday's session in seventh place.
The Falcons continue action Friday morning starting at 10 a.m. CT in the Rec Center.
