U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force golf team matched its best round of the season with a 292 in the second round of the Loyola Intercollegiate, Monday, Feb. 21, at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz. With the 292, Air Force jumped from 17th place to 12th, the biggest improvement by any team in the tournament.
Freshman Christopher Park shot a career best 69 (-3) and sits in 15th place out of 110 golfers. His 69 is the best round by any Falcon this season. Freshman Cameron Kahle matched his career best round of 71. Kahle had four birdies and three bogeys and played the par-fives in two under-par. Sophomore Sawyer Pierce shot 74, sophomore Max Heupel shot 78 and sophomore Aaron Kuznik shot 83.
After 36 holes, Pierce sits at 174, Kahle is at 152, Heupel is at 153 and Kuznik is at 160.
The final round of the tournament begins at 7:45 am MT on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.
