Air Force Falls at No. 22 Northern Iowa, 31-6

CEDAR FALLS – The 22^nd-ranked Northern Iowa Panthers outscored Air Force, 31-6, in Big 12 dual action, Friday evening, in West Gym on the UNI campus. The Falcons drop to 2-5 overall with a 1-5 mark in the league while the Panthers improve to 6-5, 6-2 Big 12.

The 22^nd-ranked Panthers looked every bit of their ranking, rattling off six-straight wins from 125 to 165, highlighted by a fall from No. 19 Kyle Biscoglia at 133 and a major decision from No. 23 Cael Happel at 141.

Air Force's Sam Wolf, ranked 30^th in the nation, was the first to tally points for the Falcons in the 174 class as he outscored Pat Schoenfelder, 10-8. Wolf, who is now on an eight-match win streak dating back to January 7, is now 4-1 in Big 12 dual action.

UNI got back into the win column in a strong way in the 184 and 197 classes, as the fourth-ranked Parker Keckeisen posted a technical fall against Air Force senior Jake Thompson, and freshman John Gunderson scored a major decision over Kayne Hutchison, 18-5.

In the final bout of the night, Air Force's sixth-ranked heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson took on Tyrell Gordon for the second time this season, besting the Panther, 10-5. Hendrickson improved to 15-straight wins this season, holding on to his undefeated mark.

The Falcons exited West Gym on a two-win high note as freshman 165-pounder Jack Ganos took on Cayd Lara. Ganos, looking lean and mean, pinned Lara in 91-seconds, assisting the West Gym staff in clearing the house out a bit quicker.

Next up, the Falcons head to Ames, Iowa, to take on the fifth-ranked Iowa State Cyclones. Action is slated for 2 p.m. CT in the Hilton Coliseum.
