Air Force Wins At UC San Diego 5-2

Air Force men's tennis defeated UC San Diego, 5-2, Friday night in La Jolla, Calif. The Falcons won its fourth straight and improved to 11-4.

After dropping the doubles point, the Falcons rallied back by going 5-1 in singles play.

In doubles, the duo Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma picked up the lone win at No. 1, 6-2.

Baylon got things going for the Falcons in singles with a win at No. 1, 6-1, 6-1. After a set back at No. 6 singles, the Falcons tied it up with a win at No. 5, as Justin Waldman got the win 6-4, 6-4.

Jonathan Mascagni put the Falcons ahead with a win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 7-5. Nick Vroman clinched it for Air Force with a win at No. 3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1. Arjun Kersten capped the match with a win at No. 4, 6-5, 4-6, 6-4.

Air Force returns to action Sunday, opening Mountain West play at San Diego State.
