Air Force Falls At San Diego State, 4-1

Air Force men's tennis opened Mountain West play with a 4-1 setback at San Diego State Sunday morning at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif. The Falcons dropped to 11-5, 0-1 MW on the season.

Air Force opened by taking the doubles point. After Falling at No. 2 doubles, the Falcons came back to win the next two doubles matches for the point. Jonathan Mascagni and Nick Vroman won at No. 3, 6-4. Jordan Azuma and Robert Baylon won at No. 1, 7-6 (7-3).

The Falcons were unable to maintain the lead, as the Aztecs went 4-0 in singles to rally to the win. Air Force fell at No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles. Baylon was tied at 1-1 at No. 1 singles and Mascagni was leading in the third set at No. 2 singles before the Aztecs clinched.

Air Force returns to action March 26 hosting North Dakota.
