Air Force Downed by North Dakota, 4-3

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis dropped a 4-3 home contest to North Dakota (10-6) Saturday afternoon at the USAFA outdoor tennis courts. The Falcons dropped to 11-6 on the season.

After taking the doubles point and going up 3-1 after three singles matches, the Falcons allowed North Dakota to win the final three singles matches to give up the win.

In doubles, Arjun Kersten and Jonathan Mascagni won at No. 2 singles 6-3 over Aynedjian/McDonnell. Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma won at No. 1 over Sullwald/Snezhko 6-3 for the clinching doubles point.

Mascagni then opened singles play with a quick win at No. 2 in straight sets over Edmond Aynedjian 6-0, 6-3. After a loss at No. 4 singles, Baylon won at No. 1 in straight sets over Gerhard Sullwald 7-6, 6-4.

The Falcons were unable to maintain the lead, falling at No. 6, 5 and 3 singles.

Air Force returns to action Thursday, March 31, hosting Oral Roberts.
