Air Force announces 2022 water polo schedule

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force water polo team announced its 2022 schedule, highlighted by 15 home games at the Cadet Natatorium.
The Falcons open the season Sept. 3 at the Bruno Invitational in Providence, R.I., and will play the first 10 games on the road. Air Force opens the home schedule on Thursday, Sept. 15, when the Falcons host Navy at 5:30 pm at the Cadet Natatorium. The teams will battle for The Vase, won by the Falcons four of the last seven years including an 11-7 win last season at Annapolis.
Air Force will host a pair of tournaments this season, the Rare Air Challenge (Sept. 16-18) and the Rare Air Invitational (Sept. 24-25).
Last season, Air Force enjoyed its best season in many years, finishing with a 17-9 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the Western Water Polo Association. Air Force's 17 wins were the most under head coach Ryan Brown and the most since 2012. Air Force was also 9-0 at home, the most wins ever in an undefeated home season. Senior Grant Snyder, a two-time All-American, returns this season after earning first-team all-conference honors last year. Snyder tied for second in the WWPA and tied for fourth in the nation in goals (87).
