Brad Roberts named MW offensive player of the week

Senior fullback Brad Roberts was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Air Force's 41-10 win over Colorado last week. Roberts had game-highs of 24 carries for 177 yards and tied a career-high with three touchdowns (also done vs. New Mexico in 2020). Roberts scored on a 14-yard run on Air Force's opening play. He later had a 20-yard score in the second quarter and a 46-yard score in the fourth. Roberts recorded his 11th career 100-yard game in 19 games played.
Roberts leads the MW and is second nationally in rushing with a 144.0 average. He has topped the 100-yard mark in both games this season. Roberts went over the 2,000-yard mark in his career during the game, becoming the 11th player in program history to top the 2K mark. He ranks 11th in Air Force history with 2,101 yards rushing, third most among fullbacks in program history. His 22 career rushing TDs are two shy of cracking the Air Force Top 10.
This is the second MW weekly honor for Roberts, who also won the award in November 2020 vs. New Mexico.
