U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The eighth-ranked Air Force rifle team fell to No. 2 Alaska, 4730-4717, in a dual meet Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Cadet Rifle Range. The 4717 is the team's second highest score of the season.
Junior Morgan Kreb was second overall with a 1182 aggregate score. Peninah D'Souza placed fifth with a 1181. Kreb won the smallbore competition with a 589. D'Souza was third in air rifle (1181) while Lauren Hurley was fourth (1176). Kreb's 589 smallbore was her second best of the season while her 1182 tied her season high.
The Falcons and Nanooks battle again on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 8 am MT at the Cadet Rifle Range.
