
Air Force Completes 3-0 Weekend With Big Comeback Win Over Abilene Christian

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Abilene Christian 4-3 Sunday morning at the Indoor Tennis Courts. The win completed a 3-0 weekend for the Falcons, who improved to 4-0 on the season.
Trailing 3-1, the Falcons rallied to win the final three singles matches to complete the improbable win.
Abilene Christian (4-2) opened by taking the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 3 doubles. The Falcons win came at No. 2 as Jonathan Mascagni and Arjun Kersten defeated Morozov/Rostrojo 6-3.
Air Force opened singles with Justin Waldman winning at No. 3 over Benjamin McDonald 6-1, 7-6 (7-0). Abilene Christian then won at No. 2 and 4 to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
The Falcons began the rally with Nick Vroman winning at No. 1 over Daniel Morozov in three sets 6-3, 6-7 (1-7), 7-5. Freshman Phillip Deaton completed a 3-0 weekend in singles with the win at No. 5 over Jose Maria Rastrojo (6-4, 6-2) to tie it up.
Freshman Jack Brown then won a pair of tiebreakers to win at No. 6 over Noah Wheen 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (8-6) to complete the rally.
Air Force hits the road for its next match on Friday, Feb.,3 traveling to Denver. The match begins at 5 pm MT.
