
Air Force With First Win At Denver In Over 30 Years

Air Force men's tennis rallied to win at Denver, 4-3, Friday night at the Denver Tennis Park in Denver, Colo. It was the first win over the Pioneers since 2005 and the first win at DU since 1991.
Trailing 3-2, the Falcons won the final two singles matches to rally to its first win at Denver in 32 years.
Air Force opened strong by winning the first two doubles matches to take the point. Nick Vroman and Justin Waldman won at No. 1 over Cuesta/Sancho Arbizu 6-4. Jonathan Mascagni and Arjun Kersten clinched with the win at No. 2 over Miller/Sriniketh 6-4.
In singles, Denver opened with a win at No. 2, before the Falcons went back ahead as Phillip Deaton won at No. 5 over Anish Sriniketh in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
The Pioneers took a 3-2 lead with consecutive wins at No. 4 and 3 singles.
Air Force started the comeback with Nick Vroman rallying to win in three sets at No. 1 over Nicolas Cuesta 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3). Freshman Jack Brown clinched the match for the Falcons at No. 6, rallying in three sets to take down Charlie Miller 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Air Force improves to 5-0 to start the season. The Falcons return to action Feb. 11, hosting a doubleheader with MSU-Denver .
