Air Force Head Coach Troy Calhoun, along with senior running back John Lee Eldridge III and senior defensive lineman Jayden Thiergood talked with the media day about the Navy game. The Falcons travel to Annapolis, Md., to take on Navy Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. MT.
Air Force football will honor the Doolittle Raiders with the 2023 edition of the Air Power Legacy Series uniforms. The Falcons will wear the uniform this week. Air Force is ranked 22nd in both the AFCA Coaches poll and the Associated Press poll. The Falcons are ranked for the first time since the final season poll in 2019 when the team was 22nd in the AP poll and 23rd in the coaches poll.
Air Force leads the overall series vs. Navy, 33-22. The Falcons are 20-7 at home, 9-12 at Navy and 4-3 in neutral site games. Air Force has won three straight and four of the last five overall. The Falcons defeated Navy, 13-10, last season in Falcon Stadium. Air Force beat Navy, 23-3, in 2021 in the last meeting in Annapolis to snap a streak of eight straight in the series won by the home team dating back to 2012.
