Air Force Fencing With Three Top 50 Finishes At November NAC

Air Force fencing completed competition at the November North American Cup (NAC), which ran Nov. 10-13 in Fort Worth, Texas. Air Force had three top 50 finishes by a trio of sophomores.

Sophomore Melissa Kline led the way with a 16th place finish in the junior women's foil. Out of a field of 225, Kline posted seven total bout victories, making the round of 16 in bracket competition.

Sophomore Omar Emara placed 43rd in the junior men's epee. Out of a field of 346, Emara posted seven wins, making the round of 64.

In junior women's saber, sophomore Mira Vestel finished 24th. Out of a field of 176, Vestel had six victories, making the round of 32.

Another sophomore, Ellie Kim, placed 57th in the junior women's epee. Out of a field of 245, Kim posted six wins, making the round of 64. Sophomore Jack Griffith placed 86th in the junior men's foil. Out of a field of 357, Griffith posted five wins.

Air Force returns to action Nov. 19 at the Elite Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
