
Art Adamson Invite ends for Air Force

COLLEGE STATION- Air Force saw Friday represent the end of the Art Adamson Invitational at Texas A&M, as the Falcons earned 450 points over three days against Power Five competition. The final day of competition included four races for the Falcons, including the 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, and 200 Butterfly.
Louis Body paced the field for Air Force in the 200 Backstroke, as the sophomore earned a slot in the event's final swim. There, Body placed seventh with a time of 1:47.18.
A trio of freshmen rounded out the "B" finals for Air Force. Garrett Kennedy (1:52.34), Kellen Russell (1:53.00), and Tyler Surratt (1:55.25) all finished in succession.
In the 100 Freestyle, Gavin Peterman represented the Falcons top placer, finishing 15th in the "B" final with a time of 46.04. Kai Tiede (46.92), Chase Dwornicki (47.22), and Joe Christ (47.69) also swam in the event.
Tommy Nagle did enough in the morning for a position in the 200 Breaststroke finals, touching out at 2:02.97. Nagle finished eighth in the race.
Rounding out the meet, Russell, Joseph Moore, and Daniel Detjen swam in the 200 Butterfly. Moore was Air Force's quickest swimmer, placing 12th after clocking in at 1:50.26. Detjen (1:50.56) and Russell (1:52.68) were not far behind.
The Falcons will have ample time to rest and recover, next taking the pool on December 19 in San Diego against Cal Poly.
