Falcons Go 4-0 at Arthur Mercante Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Air Force senior Leo Camacho was named the Fighter of the Night at the Arthur Mercante National Collegiate Boxing Invitational this evening (Nov. 20), as members of the boxing team posted a perfect 4-0 record at the annual event at the New York Athletic Club.
Camacho opened the event for Air Force with a 127-pound decision over Army West Point's Dylan Sheriff. Two other seniors also won by decision at the annual event, as Andrew Ison won his 170-pound bout with Ohio State's Edward Kubit and Angelo Ganac earned the judges' votes over Miami's Wade Browning in the 180-pound contest. Junior Luke Kohout, the only non-senior to make the travel squad, defeated California's Joseph Accurso after forcing the referee to stop their 147-pound bout in the third round.
The Falcons will return to action in January for the start of the winter season.
