Air Force Head Coach Troy Calhoun, along with senior tight end Caleb Rillos and senior inside linebacker Alec Mock talked with the media about the Hawaii game. The Falcons travel to Honolulu to take on Hawaii Saturday, Nov. 11, at 9 p.m. MT.
Air Force leads the overall series vs. Hawaii, 14-7-1, including a 13-6-1 conference advantage. The Falcons are 8-5-1 at Hawai'i and 6-2 at home. Air Force defeated Hawai'i, 56-26, in 2019 in Honolulu in the most recent meeting.
Air Force football is honoring the Doolittle Raiders with the 2023 edition of the Air Power Legacy Series uniforms. The Falcons wore the uniform for the Navy game Oct. 21 in Annapolis, Md., and will wear them again this week.
The teams will compete for the General Laurence S. Kuter Trophy, named after the first PACAF commander, is a tribute to the friendship between Hawai'i and Air Force and to the cooperation between the people of Hawai'i and their Air Force. The trophy was conceived by the University of Hawai'i, sponsored by the Pacific Air Command, and the Air Force Academy helped design it. The Kuter trophy is presented to the winner of the annual football game between the two schools. The Falcons hold the trophy following a 56-26 victory at Hawaii in 2019 in the last meeting between the schools.
