
Air Force manages solid day at First Chance Invite

DENVER, Colo.- Air Force concluded the first day of competition at the First Chance Invitational at El Pomar Natatorium on Friday, as a number of Falcon swimmers found individual success.
Wen Zhang was true to form, nabbing a win in the 100 Backstroke following a time of 48.94. Gabriel Bartolomei nipped at his teammates heels to a second-place finish after a time of 50.10.
Chris Lindley roared to a win in the 1650 Free, as his time of 16:18.99 was good for a first-place finish.
Joshua Kim continues to earn his keep in his event, as the freshman was the victor in the 100 Breaststroke following a time of 55.65. Tommy Nagle (55.79) and Anthony Sebastian (56.02) placed third and fourth, respectively.
In the 200 Fly, Joseph Moore (1:50.11) and James Winterfield (1:51.79) managed respective finishes of second and third.
Stephen Zanowic was narrowly edged out in the 50 Free, though his time of 20.67 was good for a second-place standing. Matthew Lattin placed third in the race after swimming to a time of 20.74.
The Falcons will conclude the First Chance Invitational following a 10:00 am MT start at El Pomar Natatorium on Saturday, February 11.
