Air Force Claims Two Titles in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomores Andrew Lu and Peyton Glenn picked up victories for Air Force this evening (Feb. 11) during the Beef and Boxing event at the Athletic Club of Columbus. The Falcons went 2-3 overall during their Ohio road trip.
Lu defeated Ohio State's Giaminh Nguyen in the 125-pound contest – the Falcons' final bout of the night, while Glenn forced the referee to stop her 141-pound bout with Abby Parker of Pilger's Boxing Academy in the third round.
The Falcons' split the night with the host Buckeyes, as fellow sophomore Canaan Ray dropped a 170-pound decision to Eddie Kubit in the men's first bout. Senior Tyler Dalzell dropped a narrow, split 3-2 decision at 156 pounds to Nathan Todd of Cincinnati, while junior Mack Lucas dropped her 149-pound bout with Gabrielle Nelson of Army West Point.
The Falcons return to the Academy next week, when they officially kick off the Wing Open Tournament with several qualifying bouts on Friday, Feb. 17.
