Falcons make first appearance at MW Championships

HOUSTON, Texas- Air Force concluded its first day of competition at the Mountain West Championships in the Lone Star State, as the Falcons 110 team points on Wednesday places Air Force seventh out of the nine conference teams following the opening round of the meet.

The Falcons first event was the 200 Medley Relay, where the team of Anna Ashley, Corbyn Cormack, Abby Turner, and Kimmy Woolfenden swam to a time of 1:40.60. The group placed sixth, scoring 48 team points.

Mandy Fleetwood, Addie Orris, Darien Tompkins, and Kai-Min Tsuei also raced in the same Relay, clocking in at 1:43.30.

In the 800 Free Relay, Lauren Arnold, Kara Gavin, Raquelle Roesch, and Abby Turner placed 7th after timing out at 7:24.78. The group managed to give Air Force 46 points.

In the one-meter dive, Grace Treanor managed to qualify for the consolation finals following a preliminary score of 252.80. The junior exceeded her morning totals with a final round score of 255.30. Treanor placed 14th, adding 13 team points to the Falcons first-day score. Gabrielle Peltier did not qualify for a final dive, though her preliminary score of 208.80 added three points to the Falcons side.
