Melissa Kline Earns MPSF Fencer of the Week Honor

Freshman Melissa Kline of Air Force earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Fencer of the Week honors, announced today by the conference office. It is her first ever MPSF weekly honor this season.
Kline posted a 20-4 record in women's foil at the Northwestern Duels in Evanston, Ill. She posted a 9-0 record in the second day of action and went 8-4 vs. ranked competition. Klein posted a 2-1 record against all four ranked opponents--No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 5 Northwestern, No. 6 Ohio State, and No. 11 Temple.
Kline is Air Force's second MPSF FOW winner this season, joining freshman Jack Griffith, who earned the honor earlier this season.
Air Force returns to action at the Tar Heel Invitational at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC, on Feb. 12.
