Garrett Kim Opens Action at Regional Tournament

CONCORD, Calif. – Senior Garrett Kim picked up a winning decision this evening (March 10), as he represented the Air Force boxing team during the opening night of competition at the National Collegiate Boxing Association Western Regional in Concord, California.
Kim, the only Falcon to compete in the quarterfinals, advanced to the second round of the 132-pound bracket after capturing a decision over California's Aaron Tirado.
The senior returns to the Community Youth Center tomorrow (March 11) for the second day of the NCBA Western Regional, which begins at 1:00 p.m. (PT). A total of 11 Falcons will compete on Saturday, with five joining Kim in the semifinal round and five others competing in the championship final of their respective weight divisions.
