The six Falcons earned advancing victories on Thursday, April 13, as the Falcons went 6-3 during the opening day of the tournament.
Freshman Chinonye Mbanugo claimed a victory for the Falcons in Ring 1, as she earned a 3-2 decision over Trinity's Samara Quintero in her 132-pound quarterfinal for the first NCBA tournament win of her career, while the men dominated Ring 2, with two referee-stopped wins and three unanimous decisions.
