Getting To Know The Falcon Freshmen: Josh Gatete and Brady Ruggles

In preparation for the upcoming 2023-24 season, Air Force men's basketball is introducing its freshman class with a weekly introduction. Our second installment welcomes freshmen Josh Gatete and Brady Ruggles to the program.
Josh Gatete
Height/Weight: 6-9, 190
Position: Forward
Hometown: Granger, IN
Previous School: Penn High School
Josh Gatete is a long 6-foot-9 forward from Granger, Ind. He led Penn High School, located in Mishawaka, Ind., to the conference, sectional and regional championships. Over the course of his final three seasons, Penn was the winningest high school program in terms of wins and win percentage in the state of Indiana. Josh was also a standout in the classroom, graduating with a 3.96 grade-point average. Gatete played for several club teams prior to Air Force, most recently with Mac Irvin Fire.
Brady Ruggles
Height/Weight: 6-6, 195
Position: Guard
Hometown: Wheaton, IL
Previous Schools: USAFA Prep/Danville HS
Brady Ruggles is a 6-foot-6 guard from Wheaton, Ill. Ruggles earned all-state accolades at Danville, where he was also the team captain. Brady helped lead Danville to sectional and conference championships. In addition, he set the school record for most points in a season. Ruggles played club ball for Mercury Elite. He was also a standout in the classroom, earning academic all-state and high honor roll.
