Women’s Tennis Welcomes Class of 2027

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – As USAFA enters full swing into fall operations, first-year head coach Taylor Hollander and company of Air Force women's tennis usher in the program's newest chapter, which includes the addition of five freshmen to its 2023-24 roster.
The Falcons' newcomers comprise Tennis Recruiting Network's 21st-ranked mid-major recruiting class:
Carissa Holguin | San Antonio, Texas | iUniversity Prep
No. 244-ranked prospect on Tennis Recruiting Network and a top-20 recruit out of the state of Texas… Served as team captain of the Polo Tennis Club High Performance Academy … President of National Honor Society … Graduated as valedictorian, No. 1 of 175, and was an AP scholar with distinction … Was named College Board National Hispanic Recognition Scholar … Daughter to Patricia and Gabriel Holgiun, twin sister is Carina … Enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking and traveling.
Amy Park | Rockford, Ill. | Auburn HS
Park leaves Auburn HS a four-time sectional champion earning two apiece in both doubles and singles … Helped Auburn win four consecutive sectional titles as a team, plus two team Northern Illinois Conference (NIC-10) titles and two close runner-up finishes … Also an avid tennis competitor, brother Chris won the NIC-10 No. 1 singles title in spring of 2022 … Finished 24th at state … Graduated No. 7 in her class and made the honor roll in each semester … Intends to major in either mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Giovanna Sanchirico | Coto de Caza, Calif. | California Preparatory Academy
Was back-to-back California Interscholastic Federation divisional Champion and Seaview League Champion in 2021 and 2022… Was two-time bracket winner and finished once as finalist in the UTR Pro Tennis Tour Newport Beach 25K … Graduated as valedictorian of her high school class with a 4.5 GPA and was valedictorian at California Preperatory Academy … Was a California Scholarship Federation officer and will serve as a lifetime member … Will pursue studies in both cyber science and Russian … Wanting to give back to her country "as an Air Force service member just as her dad did, and to work as a cyber security specialist, helping protect America from online threats" is what brought her to USAFA … Goes by her nickname, "Gia."
Joselyn Limbago | Fairfax, Va. | WT Woodson HS
The 46th-ranked prospect from the Middle Atlantic region and 6th-rated recruit from the state of Virginia, per the Tennis Recruiting Network … Won a regional doubles and singles championship apiece, while playing part in two regional team titles … Interests include hiking, skiing and paddle boarding … Parents are Dan and Andrea Limbago, and brother Noah, who is 16.
Nadia Kojonroj | Fullerton, Calif. | Troy HS
2020 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Doubles Champion and MVP … 2021 & 2022 CIF Singles Semifinalist and subsequent singles MVP in both seasons … Graduated with a 4.3 GPA … Intends to major in engineering with a minor in Japanese … "The amazing opportunity that USAFA represents to its cadets and the chance to give back to those who didn't get the same opportunities as me" are why Nadia chose USAFA … Parents are Ethel Llanos and Sirisak Jimmy Kojonroj.
