
Swimming and Diving return to action this weekend

Following the extended holiday break, both Air Force swimming and diving programs will return to the pool this weekend. The women are scheduled to travel to Greeley, Colo. to battle in-state foe Northern Colorado on Friday, January 12 at 4:00 pm MT while also dualing Colorado School of Mines at 11:00 am MT at Cadet Natatorium on Saturday, January 13. The men are scheduled only for Saturday's dual against the Orediggers, marking the swimmers first competing date since November 17 and the divers since November 19.

Last Time Out (Women)
-Competing at the home of conference rival San Diego State, Air Force fell just short in the December 19 dual, as the Falcons were defeated 128.00-120.00.
-Among Air Force's individual successes, Mandy Fleetwood placed first in the 50 Breaststroke as the result of her 31.72. Maeve Linscott (31.91) and Naomi Furman (32.22) finished second and third, respectively.
-In the 500 Freestyle, Catherine Dean raced to a winning time of 5:15.59, while Katelyn Andrist (5:20.34) and Natalie Gembicki (5:22.38) touched out behind their teammate.
-Andrist also managed a third-place standing in the 1000 Freestyle (10:41.03), while Furman was the Falcons highest placer in the 100 Breaststroke (1:07.69), also finishing in third.
-Ryan Mills had a busy afternoon, as the freshman placed third in both the 100 Freestyle (52.22) and the 100 Butterfly (57.79). She also swam to a fourth-place conclusion in the 50 Freestyle, closing the swim with a 24.16.
-Ella Martin paced the field in the 100 Butterfly, clocking in at 56.37. As well, the junior nabbed a win in the 100 IM (1:00.15).
-The Falcons "B" Team was victorious in the 400 Freestyle Relay, as the group of Dean, Audrey Laganelli, Eliana White, and Lily Bachl garnered a winning time of 3:34.50. Laganelli also swam in the 200 Freestyle, as her time of 1:54.18 was Air Force's top swim in the event.
-The 50 Backstroke saw four Falcons finish in the 2-5 positions, with Anna Ashley's 27.09 as the standout mark. Allana Clarke participated in the hotly-contested 50 Butterfly, placing second with a time of 25.68.

-Air Force saw November 17 represent the end of the Art Adamson Invitational at Texas A&M, as the Falcons earned 450 points over three days against Power Five competition.
-In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the foursome of Chase Dwornicki, Joseph Moore, Gavin Peterman, and James Winterfield placed seventh after racing to a time of 1:22.60. The finish now stands as the Falcons top standing in the event this season.
-The 500 Freestyle saw a number of Falcons entered. Of note, Louis Body (4:33.42), Ralph Fiscus (4:34.60), and Tyler Surratt (4:35.79) paced Air Force in the event. Each of the six Falcons to take part in the 500 Freestyle set improved season-best times.
-In the 200 Medley Relay, the foursome of Joseph Moore, Tommy Nagle, James Winterfield, and Chase Dwornicki placed eighth with a time of 1:30:77.
-As well, Moore placed sixth in the 100 Butterfly finals, clocking in at 48.83.
-Nagle qualified for the final swim in the 100 Breaststroke, as his 55.15 earned him a seventh-place standing.
-Winterfield was the highest placer for the Falcons in the 200 Freestyle, touching out at 1:39.35.
-Louie Body swam to an eighth-place finish in the 100 Backstroke, as the sophomore timed out at 50.65 in the event's concluding swim.
-Body also paced the field for Air Force in the 200 Backstroke, as the sophomore earned a slot in the event's final swim. There, Body placed seventh with a time of 1:47.18.
-The reigning WAC champion in the 400 IM, Camden Swigart's 3:52.75 in the aforementioned race saw him place sixth.
-In the 100 Freestyle, Gavin Peterman represented the Falcons top placer, finishing 15th in the "B" final with a time of 46.04.
-Tommy Nagle did enough in the morning for a position in the 200 Breaststroke finals, touching out at 2:02.97. Nagle finished eighth in the race.
