
Falcons beat Ohio State in Fort Worth

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team, ranked eighth in the nation, defeated ninth-ranked Ohio State in a tri-meet in Fort Worth, Texas. Air Force shot a 4708 to finish ahead of Ohio State (4699), but behind second-ranked TCU (4736).
Senior Morgan Kreb was the top Falcon in aggregate scoring, placing fourth overall with an 1182. Peninah D'Souza was eighth with an 1177.
Kreb placed fourth in smallbore with a 588, followed by Scott Rockett (585), D'Souza (581), Lauren Hurley (581), Dante Aletto (580), Victoria Leppert (576), Megan Torrence (574), Elijah Butler (561) and Pruitt Bain (549). Torrence set new career highs in smallbore and aggregate (1166).
D'Souza placed fourth in air rifle with a 596, followed by Kreb (594), Hurley (593), Torrence (592), Leppert (590), Rockett (588), Aletto (587), Bain (584) and Butler (579).
Air Force travels to The Citadel, Jan. 20-21, for a pair of duals in Charleston, S.C.
