
Michel, Richter named to A.P. All-Bowl Team

Air Force senior fullback Emmanuel Michel and senior outside linebacker Bo Richter were each named to the Associated Press All-Bowl team. Air Force won its fifth straight bowl game with a 31-21 victory over #24/25 James Madison on Dec. 23 in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.
Michel rushed for an Air Force bowl record 203 yards and tied a program bowl record with two touchdowns on a career-high 35 carries. His 203 yards were the third most during the bowl season and he was one of just three players to hit the 200-yard mark. Michel was named the game's most valuable player.
Richter recorded five total tackles and set Air Force bowl records with career highs of 4.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 quarterback sacks. He also had four quarterback hurries and forced a fumble. He helped the defense hold James Madison to just 26 yards rushing on 19 carries.
Air Force closed the season with a 9-4 overall record. The Falcons finished fourth in the Mountain West with a 5-3 record. Air Force improved to 40-12 over the last four full seasons.
