Huntington led Falcons on final day at CIC Cup

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Sophomore Eli Huntington led the Air Force golf team on the final day of the second annual Commander-in-Chief's Cup, Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Scottsdale National Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Huntington shot a two-under-par 70 in the final round and finished the 36-hole tournament tied for fifth overall with a 144 (even). In the final round, he made the team's only eagle of the tournament, on the 575-yard, par-five fourth hole. He made two birdies on the day and has been at par or lower in six of his last seven rounds.
Senior team captain Cameron Kahle shot a season-best 69 (-3) in the final round and tied for ninth overall with a 145 (+1). Kahle made five birdies in the round, shooting a 33 on the back side. Senior Christopher Park also tied for ninth overall with a 145 (+1). In the final round, he made five birdies for a round of 73. Junior Alvaro Fonseca tied for 11th overall with a 147 (+3), playing his final eight holes in three-under. Junior Eric Liveringhouse finished the tournament at 150, followed by Ted Davenport (152), Brooks Morrell (154) and Carson Baker (157).
Army won the tournament for the second straight year with a 36-hole score of 850 (-14). Navy was second at 863 (-1) and Air Force was third at 875 (+11). Army's John Hackel Jr., won the individual title at 131 (-13).
Air Force is back on the course for the Kapolei Invitational, Oct. 29-31, in Kapolei, Hawaii.
