Leggett Surpasses 100 Goals As Air Force Falls To #3 Stanford

Air Force men's water polo (11-13) dropped a 23-8 game to #3 Stanford (14-2) Friday night at Avery Aquatic Center on the campus of Stanford University. Sophomore Tom Leggett led the Falcons with two goals to surpass 100 goals on the season.
Leggett and freshman Aiden Blatt led the Falcons with two goals each. Leggett also had six drawn exclusions. Leggett now has 101 goals the season, becoming the first-ever Falcon to have two seasons with 100-plus goals. He is just one of three Falcons all-time to reach 100 goals in a season.
The Falcons scored two goals in the first quarter and three in the second. The Cardinal led 5-2 after the first quarter and 11-5 at halftime. Air Force was able to add three goals in the fourth quarter.
Junior Luca Smith took the loss in goal in the start. Jay Pyle relieved Smith in goal.
Air Force returns to action tomorrow at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. The Falcons take on Fresno Pacific at 10:20 am PT and Pomona-Pitzer at 3:40 pm. Both games are at SRAC Pool on the San Jose State campus in San Jose, Calif.
