Huntington leads Falcons on first day in Hawaii

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Sophomore Eli Huntington led the Air Force golf team on the first day of the Kapolei Invitational, Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Kapolei Golf Course in Oahu.
Huntington is tied for 13th overall after shooting 71 (-1) in the opening round. He made five birdies on the day, including four straight down the stretch. He has been at par or under in seven of his last eight rounds.
Senior Cameron Kahle and junior Eric Liveringhouse each shot 75. Liveringhouse made eagle at the par-5, 562-yard first hole and had two birdies on the day. Kahle made two birdies and 10 pars on the day. Junior Ted Davenport shot 77 and junior Alvaro Fonseca shot 78. Sophomore Carson Baker, competing as an individual, shot 74 (+2). Baker eagled the par-5, 526-yard 14th hole and had two birdies on the day.
Air Force is tied for 13th overall with an opening round 298 (+10). Texas State leads the field with a 282 (-6), followed by Utah Valley (284) and Hawaii (283).
The second round begins at 1 pm MT on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Kapolei Golf Course on Oahu.
