
Men’s Swimming Concludes Competitive Art Adamson Invitational

COLLEGE STATION – Air Force concluded the competitive Art Adamson Invitational in fourth place (341) in a field of five teams to include host Texas A&M (1,134), Utah (878), TCU (832.5) and Incarnate Word (326.5). The Falcons earned top eight finishes across nine events.
Junior co-team captain James Winterfield led Air Force with a strong showing, finishing top eight in four individual swims. Winterfield impressed with a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:36.70), while teammate Joe Christ finished seventh in the same race (1:38.11). Winterfield's success continued in the butterfly events, finishing sixth place in both the 100 (47.66) and 200 fly (1:46.27). In the 200 IM, Winterfield clocked a 1:46.25 to finish eighth.
Junior Falcon Camden Swigart placed fifth in the 400 IM (3:50.80), marking Air Force's second highest finish at the invite. Freshman standout Tanner Wilson swam to a pair of top eight finishes in the breaststroke races. He placed seventh in the 200 breast (1:58.02), and eighth in the 100 breast (54.02). Sophomore swimmer Tucker Rice placed ninth in the 1,650 freestyle, finishing just out of the top eight by less than three seconds.
AF's 800 freestyle relay team comprised Swigart, Christ, Evan Witte, and Daniel Detjen had the highest relay finish for the Falcons, placing sixth with a 6:36.35.
Next up, the Falcons will take a small break in action before heading out to the CSCAA Open Water National Championships, December 15, in Biscayne Bay, Florida.
