
Air Force Duo Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – A pair of Falcons, Lauren Mirande and Chase Borntreger, were honored as selections to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic-All District Team, as released by CSC officials on Tuesday afternoon.
Mirande is a junior, majoring in Geospatial Sciences with a minor in Spanish and earned the distinction for the second time in her career. This season, the midfielder logged 1,273 minutes on the pitch, recording one goal for two points and four shots on goal.
Midfielder, Borntreger, is a Political Science major and made her way onto the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time. The sophomore played 885 minutes for Air Force, while tallying two goals and two assists for six points, 18 shots on goal, and one game winner against California Baptist.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA, have a minimum of one year completed at their current institution and have played in at least 90% of their team's contests from the current season.
