Trio Caps Fall Semester in New York

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Three members of the Air Force boxing team capped the fall semester this evening (Nov. 25) at the prestigious Arthur Mercante Invitational in New York City. With a card that featured multiple boxers with national champion belts, the Falcons suffered an 0-3 slate.
Sophomore Naomi Brabham dropped a 115-pound decision to Ohio State's Nicoleta Durlesteanu – the reigning national champion for the 112-pound weight division. Senior Luke Kohout, the owner of two championship belts at 147 pounds, lost a 153-pound decision to Nathan Todd, who won the 2019 title when he boxed for the University of Cincinnati. Classmate Andrew Lu fell to a current Bearcat, as he dropped his 124-pound bout with Payton Woodruff.
The Falcons return to action in January, when they host Thursday Night Fights on Jan 16.
