Air Force Falls in Season Finale at San Diego State, 2-0

SAN DIEGO – The 2024 men's soccer campaign ended with a 2-0 loss in Western Athletic Conference action, Sunday afternoon, at San Diego State's SDSU Sports Deck. The Aztecs sit atop the league unbeaten in WAC play (7-0-1) and will play as the No. 1 seed in the post season tournament.

In his first start in goal this season, Falcon goalie Josh Spence made five saves against eight shots on target. SDSU attempted 17 shots in the match, led by Austin Brummett's four attempts.

San Diego State's Terence Okoeguale tallied the Aztecs' first goal on a penalty kick in the 29^th minute. In the 55^th minute, Reid Fisher notched his first goal this season in what eventually became the finial strike of SDSU's regular season. Brummet and Jules Anderson were credited in assisting the goal.

Air Force attempted five shots on the match with freshman Weston Cantrell placing a shot on target. Ben Wunsch, Carter Rizzo, Joey Betts, and Oliver Becker fired off shot attempts in the effort. Rizzo, senior and team captain, led the Falcons with 32 shots this season.

Freshman defender Andrei Bulankou alongside seasoned defender Noah Higbie clocked 90 minutes of defensive effort.
