COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following the conclusion of the 2024 regular season, the Falcons placed two, Hannah Johnson and Jordan Dillingham, on the All-Mountain West selection list.
Johnson was named to the Mountain West All-Conference Second Team, as the Falcon captain led Air Force with 1579 minutes across 18 games this season. She produced two points from one goal against Northern Arizona (Sept. 8) and marked two shots on goal for a 1.000 shots on goal percentage.
This is Johnson's second distinction for the Mountain West, following her selection to the All-Newcomer team as a freshman in 2021. This season, the defenseman was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 9) for the first time in her career after her impressive performances against Montana (Sept. 5) and Northern Arizona (Sept. 8)
Freshman, Dillingham, was an integral part of the Falcon defense, as she made 17 starts in 18 matches to compile 1,107 minutes with one assist and four shots on the pitch. As a newcomer along the Falcon back line, Dillingham was extremely effective in one-on-one defensive duals and aerial challenges against opposing wingers.
Across the Mountain West:
Boise State senior forward, Carly Cross, was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year, while Utah State senior defender, Kaitlyn Richins, earned the MW Defensive Player of the Year honor. Utah State's graduate goalkeeper, Cora Brendle, was tabbed MW Newcomer of the Year. Manny Martins, Utah State's head coach, was selected as the MW Coach of the Year. The individual awards and All-Mountain West teams were selected by the league's 12 head coaches.
Cross brings the first MW Offensive Player of the Year honor back to Boise State for the first time since 2018. The forward led the Broncos with 25 points off 10 goals and five assists. She tallied 71 shots with 31 on goal.
For the ninth year in a row, a defender was named the MW Defensive Player of the Year as Richins claims the title for the second consecutive year for the Aggies. She secured the back line for Utah State, as they registered 13 shutouts and ceded 13 goals on the season.
In her first season with Utah State, Brendle tallied 34 saves for a .810 save percentage, while collecting nine shutouts to become the first MW Newcomer of the Year for the Aggies.
For the second consecutive year, Martins was named the MW Coach of the Year. In his fourth season at the helm, Martins led the Aggies to a record of 16-1-4 and their four-straight Conference tournament appearance, entering play as the No. 2 seed.
