Air Force Men’s Tennis Rallies To 4-3 Win Over Abilene Christian

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis rallied to a 4-3 win over Abilene Christian (6-7) Friday night at the USAFA indoor tennis courts. The win lifted the Falcons to 4-4 on the season.

Trailing 1-0 after dropping the doubles point, the Falcons went 4-2 in singles to rally to the win.

In doubles, the Falcons won at No. 2 as Arjun Kersten and Jack Brown defeated Scriber/McDonald 6-4.

In singles, Air Force won four of the first five matches to come back for the win.

The rally started with Jack Brown winning at No. 4 in straight sets over Merse Deli 6-0, 6-2. The Falcons took the lead as AJ Moore won at No. 3 over Mihaly Deli in straight sets 6-4, 6-Abilene tied it up at 2-2 by winning at No. 2. The Falcons broke the tie as Phillip Deaton won at No. 1 over Dario Kmet 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 to put the Falcons up 3-2.

Freshman Alec Fritzinger then won at No. 5 over Ben McDonald 6-2, 6-4 to clinch the match.

Air Force returns to action Sunday hosting Northern Arizona at 10 am MT.
