Air Force 2024 football schedule announced by Mountain West

The Mountain West Conference released the 2024 Air Force football schedule today as part of the conference's overall schedule release. The Air Force schedule features six games in Falcon Stadium, including Merrimack, San Jose State, Navy, Colorado State, Fresno State and Oregon State.
The Falcons open the season Saturday, Aug. 31, by hosting Merrimack in Falcon Stadium. Air Force then opens Mountain West play by hosting San Jose State, Sept. 7. The Falcons play the first of a two-game series vs. Baylor by traveling to Waco, Texas, Sept. 14. The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 7, but moved after a collaboration between the MW and Big 12 to accommodate a scheduling request. Following an open week, Air Force returns to Mountain West action at Wyoming, Sept. 28.
Service academy rival Navy comes to Falcon Stadium Oct. 5 to open Commander-in-Chief's Trophy competition. Air Force plays at New Mexico, Oct. 12, then hosts in-state rival Colorado State, Oct. 19. Following a second open week, the Falcons travel to service-academy rival Army, Nov. 2.
Air Force hosts Fresno State, Nov. 9, and Oregon State, Nov. 16. The OSU game is part of the Mountain West, Oregon State, Washington State and Pac-12 Conference scheduling agreement. The Falcons close the regular season with back-to-back conference road games at Nevada, Nov. 23, and at San Diego State, Nov. 30. The Mountain West championship game is the first weekend in December.
Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports will now initiate a selection procedure, which will include shifting additional games to non-Saturdays.
