Air Force Men’s Tennis Downed By BYU

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis dropped a 5-2 contest to BYU (11-3) Friday night at the USAFA Indoor Tennis Courts.

Freshman Alec Fritzinger and junior Kyle Garner led the Falcons with wins in singles play.

Air Force opened by dropping the doubles point with setback at No. 1 and 2 doubles.

BYU won the first four singles matches, clinching with a win at No. 3.

Fritzinger got the Falcons its first point with a win at No. 5 over Tygen Goldammer in straight sets 7-5, 3-0 retired. Garner capped the evening with a win at No. 6 over David Duong 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (11-9).

Air Force returns to action Sunday, March 10, hosting Montana State. The match begins at 10 am MT.
